The Solace Centre in Surrey has become the second Mountain Healthcare centre to achieve national accreditation for its work with male victims of sexual violence and abuse.
The Solace Centre has been awarded the Lime Culture, Male Quality Standards accreditation, and is the second of Mountain’s Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC) to be given the recognition. The Saturn Centre in Sussex is already accredited.
The Quality Standards have been commissioned by the Male Survivors Partnership, and have been created to improve the consistency of service provision for male victims and survivors of sexual violence.
Michelle Darraugh, Managing Director of Mountain Healthcare, said she was delighted to see the Solace Centre achieve accreditation.
“This is testament to all of the hard work and commitment that has gone into this project. I am so proud that we have this accreditation for two of our SARCs now, and look forward to taking this forward for all of our centres.”
